Our
vision for Servant Leadership I is to offer a formational learning experience where individuals of differing beliefs and gifts
can come together in community to learn about leadership. This 10-week course provides participants with the opportunity to
explore and strengthen the ways in which their own spiritual growth and development can guide and enhance their roles in the
community and in their work.
Some elements of the course share common roots with secular approaches
to “enlightened leadership and management.” The emphasis of the reading and the discussions is not on a tactical
approach to leadership but on a spiritual approach to service and to the personal formation that provides grounding for sustained
and effective leadership. Looked at in this light, leadership is not an accumulated arsenal of skills driven by ambition,
but rather is an expression of the deepest and truest nature of the leader.
Each Servant Leadership I class has a couple of scholarships for individuals with leadership potential who live in challenged
circumstances.
Tuition: $125 includes all books and course materials. (Each Servant Leadership I class has a couple of places
for individuals with leadership potential who live in challenged circumstances.)

Leadership II (Servant Leadership I prerequisite)
A 10-week discussion group framed around the book Radical Hospitality.
This small group 'circle of trust' will afford an opportunity to revisit the concepts of Servant Leadership I through the
lens of a Benedictine Spirituality teaching: 'Hospitality' is a 'remedy to hatred, fear and suspicion' and a way to Love.
Silence, Scripture, Lectio Divina and Discussion. Facilitated by the Rev. Suzanne Stoner and Kaye Bernard.
Tuition is $75 and includes the book. This group will meet on Tuesdays beginning
February 12 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Registration is limited!
