Senior’s Sage-ing Group

Sageing” is a group of men and women (60+) who meet to reflect on the experience of being older from a spiritual perspective by sharing how we have seen God at work in our lives since we last met. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Library. A less formal brown bag luncheon is held on the fourth Friday of the month, providing an opportunity to get better acquainted with members of the group.

A fall brunch and holiday celebration have become fixtures, and other events like birthdays, anniversaries, and housewarmings have emerged. Over the past six years Sageing has created a community of social support for our members. This is a group requires nothing but your presence. We begin by centering ourselves and inviting the Holy Spirit to join our conversation.

She never fails us! We have developed a safe, open, and trusting group where we discuss faith-based questions while acknowledging the challenges and gifts of growing older. Newcomers are always welcome! For further information contact Carol Gaetjens at 847-436-5395 or email her at
