Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. Our baptismal feasts are:  the Great Vigil of Easter (the evening before Easter Sunday), Pentecost Sunday, Transfiguration Sunday (the 1st Sunday of August), All Saints’ Sunday (the 1st Sunday of November), the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus (the first Sunday after Epiphany, Jan. 6), and the Visitation of the Bishop (usually early May).  We like to have a pre-baptismal visit with one of the priests. Please fill out a Baptismal Form, available in the office, to help facilitate the process.

Confirmation is a mature, public affirmation of the promises and responsibilities of a baptized Christian followed by the laying on of hands by the bishop. Our Inquirer’s Class is a good way to prepare for Confirmation. We offer adult classes in the spring and fall. We also offer classes for our teens beginning at the ninth grade. Contact a priest regarding adult confirmation and our youth ministers regarding youth confirmation.

Christian Marriage is a covenant of union made out of Christian commitment of two people within the context of the life of the congregation and the whole church. In the Episcopal Church it is required that at least one of the persons be baptized. The service expects the couple to be active members of the congregation. St. Paul’s offers the sacrament of marriage for both same-sex and opposite-sex couples. Please read the Marriage Policies, linked below, carefully.

Funerals and Memorials

St. Paul’s is glad to help celebrate the life and bless the death of anyone who would seek the Church’s prayers after death. We also have a Columbarium for the interment of ashes. To arrange a funeral, please contact the church office and speak with a priest. To reserve a columbarium niche, please contact the church office.  479-442-7373
