Common Thread: Knitting Hope and Comfort for NICU Babies
At St. Paul's, we are blessed to have a dedicated group of knitters in our prayer shawl guild, Common Thread. This February, we are focusing our efforts on a special project that brings both warmth and hope to families in need.
Through our partnership with neonatal physician Dr. Kristi Palmer at Children's Hospital, the Common Thread group is knitting baby blankets for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These blankets provide not only physical warmth but also a comforting reminder that someone is praying for these babies and their families during what is often a difficult and uncertain time.
Our group of talented and compassionate knitters is hard at work creating these blankets, and we are grateful for their dedication to this important cause. Every stitch represents a prayer, and each blanket serves as a tangible expression of love and support for those in need.
If you'd like to learn more about Common Thread or get involved, we would love to have you join us in this meaningful project. Your efforts will make a lasting difference in the lives of those facing some of their toughest moments.
