Ozark Guidance Therapeutic Foster Care
Every year in Arkansas, over 8,000 children spend time in foster care due to neglect or abuse. On average, there are only 1,600 homes to care for these children.
The Therapeutic Foster Care Program at Ozark Guidance provides foster children with structured, consistent treatment in a clinic setting, at school, and in the homes of specifically trained therapeutic parents.
Therapeutic parenting is a commitment to help a child and family through a specifically difficult period by providing consideration, understanding and therapeutic guidance to the child.
Ozark Guidance provides:
24-hour on call support
Weekly therapy and behavioral support services in the home, at school, and in the office
Program Psychiatrist
Family-child matching process of no more than two TFC children in the home
Support with school and court appointments
Pre-service and monthly trainings
