MLK Labyrinth Walk and Gong Song
Monday, January 20, 2025
6:00 - 8:00 pm
“Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. He who loves is a participant in the being of God.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
You are invited to contemplate Dr. King’s message of peace, equality, justice andbrotherhood/sisterhood while walking the path of the Labyrinth. Meditatively walking in community reminds us that we are not alone; even though we may seem to be walking in different directions, the journey takes us to the same center. To further enhance your experience, Jamie White will play her Gongs and Singing Bowls. Their sounds and vibrations help calm your mind and soothe your nervous system. No prior experience is necessary. Someone will be there to provide guidance before you begin.
This is a drop-in event. We suggest, but not insist, that if your last name starts with a letter between M and Z come between 7 – 8, so the walk can be more spacious. Walking the Labyrinth with others takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Chairs will be available to sit and enjoy the Gong Song.
