The Pastoral Epistles
THE RECTOR’S BIBLE STUDY
The Rector's Bible Study explores a series on The Pastoral Epistles.
What did Paul know about church leadership? What could Paul possibly know about 21st-century church leadership? Often quoted out of context, the pastoral epistles are the apostle's words to two men whom he considered colleagues and friends. Behind their instructions is a relationship that informs their interpretation, yet the epistles themselves are our best evidence of the relationship. Reading and studying them together allows us better to discern what Paul is saying to the church leaders to whom these letters are addressed and what the Spirit is saying to the church today.
The Rector's Bible Study meets Mondays at 10 a.m. in the Library. All are welcome to attend.
