This summer we invite the whole parish to join us in reading the book God Is a Black Woman by Christena Cleveland. Sharing in this study together will continue to expand our communal familiarity with womanist theology.

You are invited to pick up the book and dig in whether you choose to read it on your own timeline or join in the Sunday morning discussion group (June 19 - July 24 at 10:00 am).

In this timely, much-needed book, theologian, social psychologist, and activist Christena Cleveland recounts her personal journey to dismantle the cultural “whitemalegod” and uncover the Sacred Black Feminine, introducing a Black Female God who imbues us with hope, healing, and liberating presence.

Books available in the parish bookstore or from the parish office during the week. A discussion group will meet in the Conference Room at 10:00 am on Sundays, June 19 - July 24, and will follow this outline:
