A Christmas Memory
ST. PAUL’S READERS THEATER
St. Paul's Readers Theater presents Truman Capote's A Christmas Memory, adapted by Father Chuck Walling.
A Christmas Memory describes a period in the lives of seven-year-old Buddy (the narrator, loosely based on a young Truman Capote), an elderly woman who is his distant cousin and best friend, and their dog Queenie. The narrative focuses on country life, friendship, and the joy of giving during the Christmas season, and it also gently, yet poignantly, touches on loneliness and loss.
