Rev. Charles White
Known as a strategic thinker, a coalition builder, and a believer in the urgency of now, Rev. White serves as the pastor of the Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. A native of the Sea Islands of Charleston, South Carolina, Rev. White also serves as the National Field Director and Director of Field Organizing for the NAACP. He earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of South Carolina, and a Masters of Divinity concentrating in Christian Education from Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Rev. White has served the NAACP at every level from being elected President of the Sea Island Youth Council in 1984 through several leadership positions at the NAACP. He is a Golden Heritage Life Member of the NAACP.
