Giving F.A.Q.

How do I make my gift?

St. Paul’s online giving is powered by Tithely. Tithely is a fast, easy-to-use, and secure system with minimal processing fees. You may use Tithely to make a payment with a Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, or Discover card or with an e-check.

Checks can be made payable to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and mailed to:

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

How do I set up a recurring gift?

Recurring gifts can be set up through Tithely, our online giving system. When giving your next gift, simply turn on the “set up automated giving” option and select your preferred giving schedule.

Another option is to set up an automated bill pay through your bank or financial institution and avoid transaction fees.

What happens to my recurring gift at the start of a new calendar year?

Parishioners are responsible for managing their own giving. Each calendar year, you will need to update your recurring gift if the amount of your pledge has changed or if an ending date was included on the original setup.

Some parishioners choose to set up recurring for the year by including an end date (e.g. January 15 - December 15). If a recurring gift is set up without an end date, the same amount will continue to send on schedule regardless of what was written on the estimate of giving card. If a pledge amount has changed, then the parishioner will need to update it in Tithely or with their bank account bill pay system.

How can I access my giving statement?

Giving statements are mailed quarterly via the US Postal Service. You can also access your statement anytime using Realm, our online Parish database.

Is my giving history and estimated giving confidential?

Yes. The Rector and Parish Administrator are the only people who can view amounts related to your giving history and estimated giving. Some members of the vestry and staff will know who has made an annual commitment; however, they will not know the amounts of those commitments.

What if I need to adjust my annual commitment?

We understand that circumstances change and that your ability to give may decrease or increase. Please reach out to the Rector or Parish Administrator and let them know of the change—your communication helps St. Paul’s stay on track with planning and spending.

Can I make a multi-year commitment?

Yes! You can combine your commitments across multiple years into a one-time gift for tax purposes. If you would like to give a larger amount this year and spread that gift across two or more years, please indicate that on your commitment card or call Leslie Alexander to discuss it. The vestry will honor your wishes and ensure that your generosity benefits St. Paul’s for the entire length of your gift.
