Youth Confirmation

During the Spring semester each year we offer Confirmation classes for youth in 10th - 12th grade. Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the candidates who were baptized at an early age are expected to make a mature public affirmation of their faith, recommit themselves to the responsibilities of their baptism, and receive laying on of hands by a bishop.

Our program, an adaptation of the Confirm not Conform curriculum, invites youth to explore the beliefs of the Episcopal Church and identify their own beliefs in that context. We typically begin with an overnight retreat followed by a series of meetings on Sunday evenings from 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Participating youth will have the opportunity to be confirmed during the next visit from Bishop Benfield, Diocese of Arkansas.
